What do I need to bring?

We have mats you can for a $1 rental fee. If you have a mat, please bring it, because our mats are first come first serve. We have complementary face towels and bath towels available to rent for $1 as well as water bottles for $1. We have all the props you might need so just bring yourself.

How should I dress?

You should dress comfortably, and you will be taking off your shoes once you arrive in the lobby. We suggest a shirt that is fitted enough it won't fall over your head if you bend over. For your shorts or pants, just choose a pair that you can lift your leg up and not flash your neighbor.

I'm a beginner - what classes should I take?

We have Beginner/Yoga 101 classes multiple times a week, but you can also attend any of the classes that are named Gentle, Stress Relief, or Yin Yoga. Our Hot 26 classes are also open to beginners but in a heated room. These classes are not specifically for beginners, but are beginner level in difficulty. Once you take 2 or 3 of the beginner specific classes you will know if you feel comfortable and would like to increase the difficulty. You can then move into a Flow Level 1, then a Flow Level 2 and finally into Hot Power, Ashtanga short form and finally Ashtanga full led Primary which are more advanced classes. No matter what you take the most important thing is to not take yourself too seriously. You may feel confused as you first learn, but trust us, that's completely normal.

Yoga Etiquette

What is Yoga Etiquette?

Sometimes it is nice to know the little nuances.
  • Please come to class in comfortable clothes that you can move in.
  • Classes are barefoot and sticky mats are needed. Rental mats are available or you can purchase environment friendly mats at the studio.
  • Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach.
  • Drinking water is beneficial before and after practice to stay hydrated and to help flush toxins.
  • Please come if you are running late, be mindful for where the class is at. If there is meditation wait until after to unroll your mat. Please come in quietly. If you need to leave early that is fine, but honor the practice and take some time for your savasana.
  • Please let your teacher know ahead of time that you need to leave.
  • Please remove shoes before walking through the studio.
  • Please keep chatter to a minimum before and during the practice, honoring other students in the space.
  • Avoid stepping on another’s mat (on or off the mat).
  • Please sign in and if you are new fill out a registration form.
  • Try to drink water before and after practice, if possible avoid drinking during practice.
  • Please tell your teacher if you have an injury, are pregnant or need special modifications.
  • Be mindful of others' sensitivities and refrain from wearing any perfumes, colognes or any strong scents. Breathe.

What will happen on my first visit?

When you arrive let the desk staff know you are a new student. You will be given a form to fill out and be rung up if needed. Then we will let you know where everything is located. You will kick your shoes off and head into your studio where your instructor is available for any questions. Never hesitate to ask any of our staff member a question, we want you to feel at home in our space.

Why is the new student special for a whole month and not one free class?

With over 14 yoga teachers on staff, over 30 classes a week, and many different types of classes we want you to have the chance to truly experience yoga. Try out different classes and styles of yoga to find what's a fit for you. Once you know which instructors and classes you love the most, you will know where you would like to invest when you buy a package of classes. At 55 for a month of unlimited classes you are able to get much more than one free class.

One yoga class is often not reflective of what yoga can do in your life, we hope you'll take advantage of this special to dedicate yourself for 30 days, and by the end we guarantee you'll understand what all the fuss is about!

How do I sign up online after my first class?

After you sign up online or attend your first class we will have you in the system so you can use your email as your username. If you signed up in the studio first and not online then use your email as your username and hit "forgot my password" to set up your password for future sign ups.
